Community Benefit
During the 2009 fiscal year (July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2009) Mercy Hospital Cadillac spent approximately $1.8 million on programs collectively referred to as "Community Benefit."
Community Benefit programs fall into three major categories:

Charity Care is health care services provided at cost by the hospital to those in need but without the ability to pay.
Programs for the Poor include access to health care services to those with a limited ability to pay, as well as special programs such as chronic disease management.
Broad Community Programs include health education programming provided to the entire hospital service area, sponsorships of related community benefit programs, job shadow/internship programs and other special initiatives.
As a non-profit organization, Mercy Hospital Cadillac is committed to its mission and values, which include improving the health of our communities and caring for the poor and underserved.
The Mercy Hospital Cadillac Foundation, a non-profit organization (501-c3) and public charity (509-a3), was incorporated solely for the purpose of raising funds to support Mercy Hospital Cadillac. With this philanthropic support, Mercy continues its delivery of quality health care services to all who need them.
