Since
its founding in 1908, Mercy Hospital Cadillac has been synonymous
with quality medical care and personalized attention. Today, Mercy
Hospital Cadillac provides health care to more than 80,000 residents
across seven counties.
The hospital staffs 97 acute-care beds with
65 active physicians.
Our on-staff specialists offer quality care in urology, general
and orthopedic surgery, podiatry, and cardiology. Also among the
services
available at Mercy Hospital Cadillac is our new obstetric
unit, opened in July 2001.
Our employees and affiliated physicians pride
themselves on continuing to deliver the highest quality care with
personalized attention. They were recently recognized for their
efforts during our accreditation survey by receiving the highest
score Mercy Hospital Cadillac has ever received, and one of the
highest in the nation.

Our Partners
Mercy Hospital Cadillac is owned by the Nation's
third largest Catholic health care organization, Trinity Health,
Novi, Michigan and maintains a partnership agreement with Munson Healthcare
in Traverse City, Michigan.
Trinity
Health, Mercy Hospital's parent company, is comprised of 47
hospitals and dozens of other healing ministries in seven states.
Trinity Health is a community of 50,000 people who collaborate
in the healing mission of the Catholic Church.
Since July 1998, Mercy Hospital Cadillac has partnered with Munson
Healthcare of Traverse City, Michigan, a northern Michigan
regional provider.
The partnership continues to focus on improving the delivery of
high-quality patient care and providing greater access to an array
of primary and advanced health care services.
Through this partnership, services such as
free transportation for cancer patients needing chemotherapy and
radiation treatments are provided in several counties. The partnership
has also facilitated outreach programs, which include on-site
clinics by Munson specialists, making specialized care available
close to home.

- Permanent CT scan and suite to house it
in 1991.
- Cardiac Catheterizations begin in 1992.
- Mobile MRI services with Munson begin in
1993.
- Cardiac rehab program (phase 2) begin in
1993. Expand in 1995 to include phase 3.
- Parish nursing takes hold and grows in
community in 1993.
- New diagnostics are a major focus for capital
improvements: CT, MRI, echocardiography, ultrasound, CT assisted
biopsies, stress thaliums, angiography, etc.
- Physician hospital organization forms to
jointly address managed care in 1993.
- New mammography machine and room in 1995.
- The increase in the number and types of
physicians plays a major role in the development or increase
of new services. Four areas that we are see much growth in are:
Orthopedics - increase in types of procedures done in
our community, like total joint replacements.
Urology - New and improved procedures for the treatment
of prostate disease and urinary incontinence.
Cardiology - a complete line of diagnostic procedures
for heart disease, as well as total rehabilitation.
Sleep Center - a Sleep Disorders center was opened in
Cadillac in December of 1998. Staffed by two physicians, sleep
problems can be diagnosed and treated.

Mercy Hospital Cadillac is located just east
of business route US 131 (Mitchell Street). Turn east at Cobbs
Street and follow signs.
