The Electrophysiology Lab utilizes state-of-the-art technology to provide a full spectrum of both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for the treatment of abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias). The electrophysiologist, a cardiologist who specializes in the electrical system of the heart, works with a highly-skilled team of nurses and technologists to study and treat arrhythmias. These procedures include Diagnostic EP Studies, Radio Frequency Ablation of abnormal heart rhythms, Pacemaker and Implantable Defibrillator (ICD) implants, Tilt Table Tests, and others. Munson’s EP lab performs more than 1,300 of these procedures annually.
