Munson Medical Center’s Outpatient
Hematology/Oncology Clinic is staffed with experienced, oncology-certified
nurses who provide compassionate care to patients and their families.
Management of cancer and blood diseases in an outpatient setting
is the primary focus, with an emphasis on quality care.
Services include chemotherapy, blood products
and transfusions, phlebotomy (drawing blood), medication
administration including erythropoietin, neupogen,
interferon, iron dextran
and immunoglobulins. Laboratory
testing involving the use of medications, access device management,
patient education, and other
services are available by request. Continuity of care is provided
through collaboration with physicians, and other ancillary care
professionals.
