OMH employs more than 30 medical practitioners and affiliates with more than 90, bringing a broad spectrum of health care services to the ten communities served. Employed providers are primarily housed in the OMH Professional Medical Building, a 37,500 square foot building adjacent to the Hospital.
Otsego Memorial Hospital opened in 1951 and has grown steadily through the years, keeping pace with the growth of its dynamic home community of Gaylord, Michigan. Our newly renovated outpatient services feature an expanded Radiology Department, including the first open bore MRI unit in Michigan, and our Rehabilitation Services department has added a mock apartment for Occupational Therapy and a therapy pool for Physical Therapy. Our all new Intensive Care Unit and Ambulatory Care Unit and four new surgical procedure rooms have enhanced our services to both inpatients and outpatients.
OMH is affiliated with a host of specialists who utilize the Otsego Diagnostic and Specialty Clinic to see patients locally for consultations and procedures.
The largest employer in Otsego County, with more than 575 employees, the organization is governed by a 10-member Board of Directors representing the Otsego Memorial Hospital Association. The Association is a private and not for-profit corporation, operating independently in a competitive healthcare environment for more than 50 years.
In addition to the Hospital, OMH operates the MedCare Walk-In Clinic, an off-site urgent care facility, and McReynolds Hall, a 34-bed skilled nursing facility attached to the hospital, and partners with Gratiot Community Hospital to offer Dialysis Serivces of Gaylord.
With a unique location on the 45th parallel, the Alpine Village of Gaylord is truly northern Michigan’s heart.
